How does transport work with Logisticoo?
Order booking on our shipping platform is done via our shipping calculator. In the first step, you enter your shipment details and then select the appropriate transport type.
It is crucial to make the right decision when selecting the packaging material and to specify the dimensions including the packaging. For shipments over 30 kg, transport on a pallet is required.
Preparation for shipping gearboxes:
After you have booked your transport and received the shipping documents, you can start preparing. If the total weight is over 30 kg, gearboxes must be shipped on pallets or be able to be accessed by themselves. You can find more tips on this below.
Picking up the gearbox:
Our shipping employees usually pick up the goods from the curb. For shipments weighing more than 30 kg, it is important that they can either be moved under by themselves or provided on a pallet. All engine or transmission fluids must be removed prior to shipping.
Delivery of gearboxes:
Delivery and collection are carried out curbside. Our shipping employees unload the shipment at the delivery address and obtain your signature for acceptance.

Gearbox shipping costs may vary depending on the number of packages, the dimensions of the packages, and the shipping method chosen.
How do I properly pack a gearbox?
To ensure that the transmission reaches its destination safely and undamaged, proper packaging is crucial. Below you will find the essential tips for packaging:
Thorough Cleaning: Before packing, the gearbox should be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, dust and residue. This minimizes the risk of damage during transport.
Protection from external influences: Use protective materials such as bubble wrap, foam pads or blankets to protect the gear from external influences such as scratches or impact damage.
Securing moving parts: Make sure moving parts, such as shift levers or switching mechanisms, are secured during transport. This prevents possible damage or displacement.
Use of sturdy packaging materials: Use a sturdy cardboard box or wooden box for packaging to provide sufficient protection against shocks and vibrations. The box should be large enough to safely hold the gearbox.
Consolidation in the box: Secure the gearbox within the box to minimize movement. To do this, use foam pads, Styrofoam chips or comparable materials.
Filling voids: Fill empty spaces in the box with suitable filling material such as bubble wrap, crumpled paper or foam to provide additional cushioning.
Weight Marking: Clearly mark the box with the weight of the gearbox to ensure it is handled and transported correctly.
Note on the packaging: For additional security during transport, you can mark the packaging with a note such as “Caution – heavy car part” or “Fragile goods”.
