Part load or full load — the choice determines the price and transit time of your transport. A full truck load (FTL) means the entire articulated truck, with 13.6 loading metres, space for up to 33 Euro pallets and around 24 tonnes of payload, carries your goods exclusively, always as a direct transport with no transshipment. It is the right solution from roughly ten to twelve loading metres, for heavy industrial goods, or when the cargo must remain alone on the vehicle for security reasons.
The part load (less than truck load, LTL) is the economical alternative for shipments from around two to three pallets up to half a truck's capacity: you pay only for the loading metres your freight occupies and share cargo space and costs with a few other shippers on the same route. Unlike groupage, the goods are not sorted through transshipment terminals but stay on the same vehicle from loading to unloading — gentler on sensitive goods and with a predictable transit time.

01 · Send your shipment details
You state the pallet count or loading metres, weight, loading point and recipient. Your dispatcher checks whether a part load or a full load is more economical and sends you the binding fixed price within 30 minutes.
02 · Fix the vehicle and schedule
We assign the right vehicle — curtain-sider, box or reefer, with tail lift or truck-mounted forklift — and agree fixed loading and unloading windows with both sides, including delivery notification to the recipient.
03 · Transport with transit-time monitoring
The load stays on the vehicle without transshipment. We monitor the journey via GPS, inform you proactively of any deviations and provide the proof of delivery directly after unloading.

Frequently asked questions
When does a full load pay off compared with a part load?
As a guide: from around ten to twelve loading metres or roughly 20 tonnes, the price of a part load comes so close to that of a full load that the exclusive truck is worthwhile — as a rule of thumb, from approx. €1.95/km for the articulated truck. Below that, LTL is usually cheaper because you share cargo space and costs with other shippers. On request, your dispatcher will price both options for you.
How do I calculate the loading metres of my shipment?
One loading metre is one metre of cargo bed across the full truck width of 2.40 m. The formula: length × width of the footprint divided by 2.40. A Euro pallet (1.20 × 0.80 m) equals 0.4 loading metres; non-stackable goods count according to their footprint. If you simply tell us the pallet count and dimensions, your dispatcher will do the calculation for you.
What is the difference between a part load and groupage?
With a part load, your goods stay on the same vehicle from loading to unloading and share the cargo space only with a few other shipments on the same route. Groupage, by contrast, is sorted and reloaded through transshipment terminals — cheaper, but slower and with more handling. For sensitive or time-critical goods from pallet size upwards, a part load is usually the better choice.
How long does a part or full load take within Europe?
Within Germany, full loads are usually delivered within 24 hours and part loads in one to two working days. Elsewhere in Europe, expect two to four working days depending on the route — for example, Berlin–Prague the next day, Berlin–Istanbul in four to six days. Statutory driving and rest times are already factored in; your quote states the binding delivery day.
