Typical shipments from the textile industry
We cover the entire textile chain. On the sourcing side, imports from the production countries — above all Turkey: clothing, knitwear and woven goods in cartons on pallets, usually as part or full load with customs clearance. In between, raw materials and semi-finished goods such as yarns, fabric rolls and cut parts moving between finishing, sewing and warehouse. On the sales side, finished goods to retail central warehouses, stores and outlets: seasonal and collection goods to fixed dates, NOS replenishment (Never Out of Stock) and promotional goods for the flyer launch. Standards and regulations in textile transport
The most important factor is protecting the goods: clean, dry and odour-neutral load spaces, no co-loading with smelly or colour-bleeding goods, moisture protection against mildew stains. Load securing is carried out in accordance with VDI 2700 ff. and EN 12195; with double-deck loading, pallet weight, stackability and double-deck beams are decisive so that nothing is crushed. In Turkey traffic, customs is the deciding factor: export in Turkey, import in the EU, usually under the common transit procedure (T1) and, where the customs union applies, with an A.TR movement certificate for preferential clearance — which our country office manages on both sides. For central-warehouse delivery, the retailer's inbound rules apply: booked time windows, pre-advice, pallet exchange. Labelling obligations for the goods (textile labelling, origin) are the sender's responsibility; we ensure on-time, damage-free transport.

What does a textile transport cost?
We quote the price up front as a fixed price; the rule-of-thumb rates per kilometre (±15%): Sprinter van for urgent quantities around €1.10/km (from €89), 7.5 t truck around €1.45/km (from €169), 12 t truck around €1.65/km (from €219), articulated truck or jumbo for volume goods around €1.95/km (from €379). Because textiles are volume goods rather than weight goods, double-deck loading significantly lowers the price per carton. A domestic full load of promotional goods from Cologne to Berlin (around 575 km) with the articulated truck therefore comes to roughly €950–1,290; an import full load from Turkey is calculated per lane including customs. Surcharges apply for express and two-driver crews, time-window commitments, and customs clearance in third-country traffic.
