This is exactly where the wheat has been separated from the chaff since 2021: without a correct GMR in the GVMS, the truck sits in Calais. Our dispatchers pre-lodge your shipment, prepare export and import declarations and choose the fastest route depending on the destination — Eurotunnel for express freight, the short-sea ferry to Dover for standard loads, North Sea RoRo for the Midlands and Scotland. A personal contact accompanies the shipment from collection in one of our 147 German urban areas through to delivery anywhere between London and Glasgow. Customs clearance

Since Brexit, an export declaration in the EU and an import declaration in the UK have been mandatory; every loading requires a GMR reference in the British GVMS (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) as well as EORI numbers on both sides.
