Logisticoo runs daily transports from Germany to the United Kingdom and back — as express dedicated runs, part loads or full truckloads, including complete Brexit customs clearance and a fixed-price quote within 30 minutes. Despite Brexit, the United Kingdom remains one of Germany's ten most important trading partners: heading west, vehicles and automotive parts, machinery, pharmaceuticals and chemical products dominate, while return flows include engine components, whisky, consumer goods and crude oil derivatives. This is exactly where the wheat has been separated from the chaff since 2021: without a correct GMR in the GVMS, the truck sits in Calais. Our dispatchers pre-lodge your shipment, prepare export and import declarations and choose the fastest route depending on the destination — Eurotunnel for express freight, the short-sea ferry to Dover for standard loads, North Sea RoRo for the Midlands and Scotland. A personal contact accompanies the shipment from collection in one of our 147 German urban areas through to delivery anywhere between London and Glasgow. That makes UK traffic predictable again: fixed slots, clean paperwork, one fixed price with no surcharges after the fact. We also regularly handle trade fair and event transports to Birmingham as well as temperature-controlled food shipments — including the sanitary and phytosanitary notifications the United Kingdom now requires for certain product groups. And when it is truly urgent, we combine air freight from Frankfurt to Heathrow with delivery through our local partner network.
Routes & corridors
The main axis is the A4/E40 through Belgium and northern France to the Channel ports of Calais and Dunkirk (ferry to Dover) or to the Eurotunnel at Coquelles. For northern England and Scotland we alternatively use the RoRo connections from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge to Hull, Immingham and Teesport.
Customs clearance
Since Brexit, an export declaration in the EU and an import declaration in the UK have been mandatory; every loading requires a GMR reference in the British GVMS (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) as well as EORI numbers on both sides. Logisticoo handles the complete customs clearance including safety and security declarations (ENS/Safety & Security).

Frequently asked questions: transport United Kingdom
How long does a truck transport from Germany to the United Kingdom take?
Via the Eurotunnel or the Calais–Dover ferry, allow 2–3 working days from western Germany to the Greater London area, and 3–4 days to northern England and Scotland. Express dedicated runs via the Eurotunnel cover the Cologne–London route in around 24 hours — provided the customs documents are complete before departure.
How much does a transport to the UK cost?
As a rule of thumb, we calculate FTL from approx. 1.95 €/km plus ferry or tunnel and customs clearance; a full truckload Cologne–London therefore comes in at roughly 1,500–1,900 €. A single pallet by groupage to southern England starts at around 150–250 €. You will receive your binding fixed price within 30 minutes.
Which customs documents do I need for UK shipments?
A commercial invoice, packing list and EORI numbers (EU and GB) are mandatory; from these we prepare the export declaration, the UK import declaration and the GMR in the GVMS. For originating goods under the EU–UK trade agreement, a statement of origin on the invoice is sufficient to secure duty-free treatment.
