Fixed-date transports from Logisticoo do not deliver somewhere within an 'A to B working days' window, but on the agreed date — and, on request, at the agreed hour. This is the right solution when downstream processes depend on the goods arriving: assembly teams, booked cranes, dock windows at the central warehouse, trade-fair build-up slots or contractually penalised delivery dates. Technically, we achieve on-time performance through deliberately planned time buffers, priority handling in transhipment or — for tight windows — dispensing with transhipment altogether via a direct run; your personal dispatcher lays out transparently which option makes economic sense and confirms the date bindingly in the fixed-price quote you receive within 30 minutes. During the run we monitor the shipment actively rather than passively: if something is delayed, you hear it from us before you have to ask, including an alternative. We run fixed dates from 147 German cities and to 55 countries — from a single spare part for a maintenance window to a full load that has to be at the dock on time for the inventory release. On-time performance is not a surcharge product for us, but planning discipline.

When a fixed date is the right choice
A fixed date pays off wherever a process with a fixed resource depends on the goods. Typical cases are booked assembly teams and cranes, which cost by the hour and will not wait; dock windows at retail central warehouses that open only at a set slot; trade-fair build-up times during which the site is accessible; and delivery dates carrying a contractual penalty. Construction sites with a tight crane window and inventory releases with a fixed cut-off date are classic cases too. Unlike a pure direct run, this is not about maximum speed but about a pinpoint landing: the goods should arrive neither too early (no storage space, tied-up capital) nor too late. If, on the other hand, your time window is soft, a cheaper standard transit time is the better choice.
How we secure the date — buffer, transport method, monitoring
We schedule backwards from the confirmed unloading window: the latest departure time follows from driving time plus a realistic disruption buffer, the loading window and vehicle provision. Depending on how tight the window is, we choose the transport method — prioritised general cargo when the buffer is comfortable, transhipment-free part load at medium tightness, a direct run with no transhipment risk at all under a hard time requirement. The dispatcher handles the delivery notification and slot booking at the consignee's dock; night and off-peak delivery is possible by arrangement. During the run we monitor actively by tracking: if a deviation emerges, we report it proactively with a new ETA and a proposed solution, rather than leaving you in the dark. In the event of a critical disruption, a replacement or brought-forward vehicle from the network steps in.
Fixed date, standard transit time and direct run — the difference
The standard transit time is a forecast ('within 24 to 72 hours') with no guarantee and no active monitoring — cheap, but non-binding. The fixed date is a commitment to a date or time window, confirmed in writing and actively monitored; which vehicle delivers it is secondary. The direct run, in turn, is a vehicle concept — dedicated, without transhipment — and often the means to hold a very tight fixed date, but not every fixed date needs it: with a comfortable buffer we reach the date via prioritised general cargo too, at a fraction of the price. In short: the fixed date describes the outcome (the pinpoint landing), while standard transit time and direct run describe the routes to it, with different price-to-certainty ratios.
What does a fixed-date transport cost?
The premium for on-time performance depends on the chosen transport method, not on a flat fee. Via prioritised general cargo the surcharge is small; via part load or direct run the kilometre-based guide prices apply (±15%): Sprinter van ~€1.10/km from €89, 7.5 t truck ~€1.45/km from €169, 12 t truck ~€1.65/km from €219, articulated truck ~€1.95/km from €379. Example: a time-critical part load Hamburg–Cologne (around 425 km) on the 12-tonne truck with a fixed 8–10 a.m. dock window falls roughly in the €600–800 range. Night and weekend delivery, as well as waiting time at the dock, are itemised separately. You receive the binding total price with the confirmed date within 30 minutes.
