Truck Transport
Truck transport is Logisticoo's core business: we move every shipment size with the right vehicle — Sprinter van up to 1.2 t payload (from ~€1.10/km), 7.5-tonner with tail lift (from ~€1.45/km), 12- and 18-tonners as well as semi-trailer and drawbar combination with up to 24 t payload and 34 pallet spaces (FTL from ~€1.95/km). The choice of body is just as broad: curtain-side for side loading by forklift and crane, a closed box body for moisture- and theft-sensitive goods, a tail lift for locations without a loading ramp, a loading crane and truck-mounted forklift wherever no lifting gear is available. Your personal dispatcher selects the combination of vehicle, body and production route — groupage, part load or full load, direct transport — that meets your requirement most economically, and delivers the fixed-price quote in 30 minutes. Load securing follows VDI 2700 and Section 22 StVO (German Road Traffic Regulations): positive-fit stowage, lashing straps, anti-slip mats, documented by trained drivers. We dispatch from 147 German cities and to 55 countries, with our own country offices in Berlin, the Czech Republic and Turkey — since 2014, with over 45 employees and ISO 9001-certified processes.

Which truck when — vehicle classes and use cases
The right vehicle class follows from weight, volume and loading situation, not from gut feeling. The Sprinter van (up to ~1.2 t, 3 pallet spaces) is the choice for urgent single pallets and small parts. The 7.5-tonner with tail lift (up to ~3 t, 10 pallets) covers the bulk of regional distribution traffic, including at addresses without a ramp. The 12- and 18-tonners (up to ~6 and ~10 t respectively) carry heavier part loads and can be fitted with a loading crane. The semi-trailer and drawbar combination (up to 24 t, 34 pallet spaces) are the workhorses for full loads and full-pallet trains. What matters is an honest statement of dimensions and weight: too large a vehicle costs unnecessarily, too small a one jeopardises load securing and the permissible axle load.
Bodies, lifting gear and load securing in detail
The body determines loading and unloading. The curtain-side opens at the side and top — ideal for forklift, crane and long-goods loading; Code XL curtains are certified for positive-fit securing. The box body is firmly closed, dust- and splash-proof and harder to break into — the choice for electronics, furniture and moisture- or theft-sensitive goods. If lifting gear is missing at the loading or destination point, we bring it along: a tail lift for palletised goods, a loading crane up into the tonne range, a truck-mounted forklift for delivery right to the kerbside. Securing follows VDI 2700 ff. and Section 22 StVO (German Road Traffic Regulations) — positive fit against the headboard, lashing down with the appropriate LC rating, anti-slip mats (µ ≥ 0.6) — documented by trained drivers. This way the load stays in place even during emergency braking and evasive manoeuvres.
Groupage, part load, full load, direct transport — choosing the route
In truck transport, alongside the vehicle it is the production route that determines price and transit time. Groupage (general cargo) consolidates your goods with others via a transhipment — cheapest for 1 pallet up to about 2.5 t, but with one or two transhipments and a transit time of 24–72 hours. A part load runs from about 4–6 pallet spaces without transhipment, with one or two compatible consignments — faster and gentler than groupage. A full load gives you the entire vehicle exclusively from ramp to ramp. A direct transport is the time-critical, transhipment-free special run in any size. You do not have to commit: your dispatcher works through the routes for your specific shipment and recommends the most economical one.
What does truck transport cost?
For part-load, full-load and direct traffic we calculate per kilometre by vehicle class (±15 %): Sprinter van ~€1.10/km from €89, 7.5 t truck ~€1.45/km from €169, 12 t truck ~€1.65/km from €219, semi-trailer (FTL) ~€1.95/km from €379. Example: a full load Cologne–Berlin (around 575 km) on the semi-trailer comes to roughly €950–1,290. Groupage, by contrast, is not calculated per kilometre but via the chargeable weight (from weight, volume and loading metres) and is cheaper for individual pallets. Cost drivers are the loading crane/truck-mounted forklift, waiting times and a missing return load. Which route is cheapest is stated in the fixed-price quote after 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know which truck size my shipment needs?
You do not need to know — the dimensions, weight and loading-point situation (ramp, forklift, access restrictions) are enough. Your dispatcher selects the smallest safely suitable vehicle, because oversizing costs money unnecessarily and undersizing jeopardises load securing. The result is stated in the fixed-price quote after 30 minutes.
What is the difference between curtain-side and box body, and when do I need which?
The curtain-side body opens at the side and top — ideal for crane and forklift loading as well as long goods. The box body is firmly closed, dust- and splash-proof and harder to break into — the choice for electronics, furniture, high-value or moisture-sensitive goods. We dispatch both body types in all size classes.
Can you load and unload at the customer without a ramp and forklift?
Yes. We provide the lifting gear: a tail lift for palletised goods, a loading crane up into the tonne range and a truck-mounted forklift for delivery right at the kerbside. We also serve private addresses and construction sites without any infrastructure this way. Tell us the situation on site — it feeds into the vehicle choice and the fixed price.
Do you also drive elsewhere in Europe?
Yes, to 55 countries, with our own country offices in Berlin, the Czech Republic and Turkey. Within the EU we drive free of customs and border formalities; in Turkey and third-country traffic our offices handle customs clearance including T1 transit documents. Part and full loads can be set up as plannable scheduled services with fixed terms.
What does truck transport cost?
Part-load, full-load and direct traffic is calculated per kilometre (Sprinter van ~€1.10/km, 7.5 t ~€1.45/km, 12 t ~€1.65/km, FTL ~€1.95/km, ±15 %). A full load Cologne–Berlin on the semi-trailer comes to roughly €950–1,290. Groupage we calculate via the chargeable weight, and it is cheaper for individual pallets. We will name the most economical route including a fixed price in 30 minutes.
