How does transport work with Logisticoo?
Order booking on our shipping platform is done via our shipping calculator. In the first step, you enter your shipment details and then select the appropriate transport type.
It is crucial to make the right decision when selecting the packaging material and to specify the dimensions including the packaging. For shipments over 30 kg, transport on a pallet is required.
Preparation for shipping rims:
After you have booked your transport and received the shipping documents, you can start preparing. If the total weight is over 30 kg, rims must be sent on pallets or be able to be driven under by themselves. You can find more tips on this below.
Picking up the rims:
Our shipping employees usually pick up the goods from the curb. For shipments weighing more than 30 kg, it is important that they can either be moved under by themselves or provided on a pallet. The rims should also be packed in a box with bubble wrap or cushioning material.
Delivery of rims:
Delivery and collection are carried out curbside. Our shipping employees unload the shipment at the delivery address and obtain your signature for acceptance.

How do I properly pack a rim?
To ensure that rims reach their destination safely and intact, proper packaging is crucial. Below you will find the essential tips for packaging:
Cleaning the Rims: Before packing, the rims should be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, brake dust and debris. This will help prevent scratches and damage during transport.
Protection from scratches: Use protective materials such as foam pads, bubble wrap or special rim covers to protect the surface of the rims from scratches and impacts.
Individual packaging: Pack each rim separately to ensure optimal safety. Wrap each rim in appropriate protective materials, especially if they are chrome or painted rims.
Use sturdy boxes: Use sturdy boxes or special rim boxes for packaging that are large enough to safely hold the rims. Make sure the boxes provide the rims with enough protection.
Consolidation in the box: Secure each rim within the box to minimize movement. Use foam pads or other suitable materials to position the rims stably.
Fill empty spaces: Use crumpled paper, foam pads, or bubble wrap to fill empty spaces in the box. This helps reduce vibrations during transport.
Marking of the rims: Clearly visible markings on the boxes facilitate correct handling during transport. Label the boxes with information such as “Caution – sensitive rims” or “Fragile goods”.
