How does transport work with Logisticoo?
Order booking on our shipping platform is done via our shipping calculator. In the first step, you enter your shipment details and then select the appropriate transport type.
It is crucial to make the right decision when selecting the packaging material and to specify the dimensions including the packaging. For shipments over 30 kg, transport on a pallet is required.
Preparation for shipping large packages:
After you have booked your transport and received the shipping documents, you can start preparing. If the total weight is over 30 kg, large packages must be sent on pallets or be able to be driven under by themselves. You can find more tips on this below.
Collection of large packages:
Our shipping employees usually pick up the goods from the curb. For shipments weighing more than 30 kg, it is important that they can either be moved under by themselves or provided on a pallet.
Delivery of large packages:
Delivery and collection are carried out curbside. Our shipping employees unload the shipment at the delivery address and obtain your signature for acceptance.

How do I pack properly large packages?
Here are some general tips for packing large packages safely:
Sturdy packaging materials: Use high-quality and sturdy packaging materials that correspond to the size and weight of the package. This includes sturdy boxes, strong packaging tape, bubble wrap, foam pads and, if necessary, wooden frames.
Careful Packaging: Pack the contents of the package carefully and use appropriate cushioning materials to minimize the risk of damage during transportation. Make sure the contents are tight and secure in the package.
Appropriate box size: Choose a box that is large enough to hold the contents, but not so large that the contents can slide around inside the box. This helps ensure stability during transport.
Even Weight Distribution: Distribute the weight evenly throughout the package to avoid uneven loading and possible damage. Heavy items should be placed at the bottom of the box.
Weight Marking: Clearly mark the weight of the package on the outside. This helps the transport staff to handle the package appropriately and transport it safely.
Reinforce the edges: Reinforce the edges of the package with additional packing material to better absorb shock loads.
Double-layer boxes: For particularly heavy or delicate items, use double-layer boxes or reinforce the inside of the box with additional cardboard or Styrofoam.
Securing with packing tape: Seal the box securely with strong packing tape. Make sure all seams and edges are tightly sealed to prevent the box from bursting.
