Non-EU · customs service included Transit time 3–5 working days Economic centres: Pristina (metropolitan area with Fushë Kosova)

Logisticoo runs transports from Germany to Kosovo and back on a fixed rhythm — with T1/TIR handling, EUR.1 preference and a fixed-price quote within 30 minutes. The ties are closer than with almost any other Balkan country: the large Kosovar community in Germany drives a steady flow of trade goods, building materials, vehicle parts and household removals in both directions; German exporters also supply machinery, foodstuffs and consumer goods to the growing retail sector around Pristina, while metal products, furniture and agricultural produce come back. Logistically, the border choice is decisive: the direct way runs through Serbia via Merdare, but the Serbian-Kosovar crossings are politically sensitive and at times unpredictable — in that case our dispatchers reroute via North Macedonia and Hani i Elezit. We run both variants regularly and keep the transit documents prepared so the decision can still be made at short notice. With country offices in Berlin and the Czech Republic at the starting point of the Balkan axis, your personal dispatcher delivers reliable transit times instead of excuses. Groupage and single pallets also run weekly to Pristina, Prizren and Peja — consolidated in our scheduled Balkan services, so even small shipments stay affordable.

Routes & corridors

The main axis from Germany runs via Austria and Hungary into Serbia (E75 Belgrade–Niš), then via Merdare to Pristina. Alternatively via North Macedonia, entering at Hani i Elezit (from Skopje) — a sensible option when the Serbian-Kosovar crossings back up.

Customs clearance

Kosovo is a third country: EU export declaration, transit under T1 or TIR through the Balkan states, and import clearance by Kosovo customs. Under the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU, an EUR.1 or origin declaration secures preferential duty rates; we agree the choice of border crossing (Serbia or North Macedonia) based on the current situation.

Frequently asked questions: transport Kosovo

How long does a transport from Germany to Kosovo take?

A full truckload Munich–Pristina takes 3–5 working days, depending on the chosen border crossing and the clearance situation at Merdare or Hani i Elezit. Express dedicated runs manage the route in around 36–48 hours with transit documents prepared in advance.

How much does a truck to Kosovo cost?

For a full truckload Munich–Pristina (approx. 1,600 km), calculate 2,600–3,200 € as a rule of thumb, including transit handling; groupage pallets start at around 160–240 €. The per-kilometre rate sits above EU levels due to border effort and limited return loads. Fixed price within 30 minutes.

Which customs documents do I need for Kosovo?

Commercial invoice, packing list, CMR, EU export declaration and a T1 or TIR carnet for the Balkan transit. With an EUR.1 or origin declaration, the preferential duties of the EU association agreement apply — significantly reduced or zero rates for most EU-originating goods. We coordinate the import with a broker in Pristina.
