Spain is one of Germany's most important trading partners: the automotive plants of SEAT in Martorell, Volkswagen in Pamplona, Ford in Almussafes and Mercedes in Vitoria are closely intertwined with German suppliers and buyers, alongside chemicals, steel and consumer goods. In the opposite direction, fresh-produce logistics dominates: fruit and vegetables from Murcia and Almería roll to Germany in refrigerated trailers — a traffic we serve with our own reefer fleet planning and seamless temperature control. Shipments run along two axes: the eastern route via Perpignan and La Jonquera onto the AP-7 to Barcelona and Valencia (Frankfurt–Barcelona around 1,360 kilometres), or the western route via Bordeaux and Irún to Madrid and Castile. No customs paperwork is needed within the single market; only the Canary Islands require the T2F procedure with Canarian import clearance, which we organise in full. Express direct runs with two-driver crews reach Barcelona in 24 hours and Madrid in 36. We also connect the Balearics via the ferries from Barcelona and Valencia — including booking the sea passage and island delivery on Mallorca or Ibiza.

Routes & corridors

Two main routes: the eastern axis via Lyon and Perpignan (La Jonquera) onto the AP-7 to Barcelona and Valencia, and the western axis via Bordeaux and Irún through Burgos to Madrid. Frankfurt–Barcelona is around 1,360 km, Frankfurt–Madrid around 1,900 km; refrigerated traffic runs northbound out of Murcia and Almería.

Documents & processing

EU single market — no customs formalities; a commercial invoice and CMR are all you need. The Canary Islands are the exception: they lie outside the EU VAT area, so a T2F transit procedure and Canarian import clearance (IGIC) are required — both of which we handle.
